Why Choose Us
LIGHTweight Tarps are our specialty, and all of our tarps are made out of our high quality and high strength coated Cordura Nylon material. Unless otherwise noted, all pricing includes D-RING construction, meaning that the extra rows have reinforced D-rings that are pre-sewn onto the 2" wide black webbing, then sewn onto the tarp face using double needle "Lock-stitch" technology, and reverse stitched and forward-stitched AGAIN over the d-ring area for maximum strength. All outside edges, including the flap, have the same reinforced webbing and large brass grommets.
With our light weight tarps, we sometimes provide a mulit-colored tarp, alternating two primary panel colors, like black/blue, or black/olive green, for example, because is some cases the material may have slight color shade variations and it looks better to alternate. But many times, color shade is consistent and we can provide solid colored units......inventory changes by the week so please check with us. Our products and word-of mouth reputation speak for themselves, but if you're a flatbed hauler, here are a few key benefits of our "kardura" tarps. - They're Lighter than those Vinyl Tarps. Your not getting any younger, are you? Our tarps are typically about 1/3 less weight than Vinyl. One of our full size 8 ft-drop lumber tarps with flap is about 68 to 75 Lbs. A 16 x 24 Steel tarp about 37 to 43 Lbs.
- They are STRONG. The coated Nylon material is similar to that used in a nice Back-Pack, Luggage, Duffle Bags, etc, and therefore is very tear resistant. If the material does get a puncture, it stays there and does not run or tear like a vinyl tarp. We often hear back from our customers that "this stuff is certainly stronger than vinyl".
- Do you enjoy rolling one of those heavy Vinyl Tarps up? Probably not. And how about in Cold weather? Our tarps fold up smooth and easy at any temperature, and this feature alone has created many repeat customers for us.
- Value for your dollar. The raw material cost of the coated Nylon material we use is typically double that of 18 oz. vinyl, that's why you don't see anyone else making tarps like this. We are specialists at sourcing good quality surplus material from various manufacturers at good prices. In most cases you will be paying less for your finished truck tarp than what the raw material on the roll would cost a back-pack or bag manufacturer.
